I didn’t like the many responses to Madonna’s half-time show which were basically variations on ‘you’re old and a woman therefore you are not cool, you are shit’.

For those of you who really thought she was past it, take a look at some of the records she broke this week:

Her Super Bowl show was the most watched ever, pre-orders for the album have smashed iTunes’ previous one day record. The single is now number 1 in over 50 countries, and the video has already been viewed over 11 million times and counting. For an ‘old lady’, she still knows how to werq it.
